Who we are

Curiotter is run by [legal entity], in [state]. We are independent of Yoto and not affiliated with them. Writing to hello@curiotter.com reaches a person. [Lawyer review.]

What you get

An account that researches, writes and checks answers to the questions you send, turns them into audio, and publishes them to a Yoto account you connect. How many you get a month is on the pricing page and in Account. We can change what a plan includes, and we will tell you before a change takes effect. [Lawyer review.]

Paying

The trial needs no card and runs ten days from your first send. After that a plan renews on its own, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Cancel any time in Account; the plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and we do not refund part of a period. [Lawyer review.]

Your account

One household per account. Keep your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the account is yours, not your child's. [Lawyer review.]

What you may not do

Do not ask for content that is unlawful, that sexualises or endangers a child, or that you would not want read aloud to one. Do not resell what you make here, scrape the Library, or use the service to train another model. We can suspend an account that does. [Lawyer review.]

What you make

The questions you write and the recordings you make stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to turn them into audio so the service can work. Sharing an item to the Library gives other families permission to add it to their own Yoto, anonymously and for free, and you can ask us to remove it at any time. [Lawyer review.]

What we make

The site, the design and the software are ours. Answers are written from sources and checked, and we work hard at it, but no automatic system is right every time. Read the script before you approve it; that step is the point of it. [Lawyer review.]

Yoto and other services

You connect your own Yoto account and can disconnect it at any time. We do not control Yoto, Stripe or any other service in the chain, and we are not responsible for what they do or for an outage on their side. Nothing here is endorsed by Yoto. [Lawyer review.]

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time, which cancels the plan and removes your content. We can end an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless the law stops us. Nothing is removed from your Yoto either way. [Lawyer review.]

Changes, liability and law

We will post changes here and date them, and tell you by email if they matter. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last twelve months. These terms are governed by the law of [state]. [Lawyer review.]
